‘Accra Local Business Directory’ portal launches in Ghana

A business directory tailored for businesses and corporations located in Accra has been launched.
The initiative, dubbed the ‘Accra Local Business Directory’, was instituted by Maximum Online Directories Group, an indigenous Ghanaian company.
The platform is the first of its kind in the country that targets a specific geographical area, thus Accra.
Businesses that list their companies on this directory would be able to earn the trust of search engines, which will lead to higher rankings and attract more local customers to their websites and locations of work.
The portal
The Accra Local Business Directory is a mobile-friendly portal that gives businesses and corporations in Accra the opportunity to advertise their products and services to a wide range of users.
The website URL is: https://www.accralocalbusinessdirectory.com/
The portal allows users to upload details of their business name, addresses, location, type of service or products the business provides, and contact information.
Others include the company’s registration or TIN, working hours, website details, and social media links.

It also has a category for jobs where companies can advertise for openings in their entities, allowing job seekers to apply for consideration.
One other fascinating aspect of the website is that it allows users to write reviews and rate a specific company, and also search businesses based on location and their specializations.
Initiative
Speaking on the essence of the initiative, the acting Managing Director of Maximum Online Directories Group, Emmanuel T. Forson, said the idea is to create a comprehensive local business directory for organizations in Accra.
“We have a core mandate to help businesses in Accra to reach their target audiences with ease and efficiency. Anyone around the world who wants to know about businesses in Accra could just visit the site and find what they need,” he said.

According to him, prospective customers who list their companies on the website could attract investors to their businesses because the portal would be accessible to personalities who would be surfing around for promising enterprises to invest in.
“Small businesses, for instance, need finances to thrive and we all know the bottlenecks faced by these owners when they want to secure funding for their companies. Our portal presents these owners with the opportunity to be contacted by investors who may find these businesses scalable and lucrative,” he stated.
He also announced that the portal would be free for customers who sign onto the portal for the next five months.
Furthermore, he called on businesses operating in Accra to take advantage of the opportunity to list their enterprises on the company’s website.
Prospective clients

In an interview with some Ghanaian business owners trading in Accra, they said the initiative would go a long way to help their businesses to reach their customers and prospective clients.
The CEO of Kuks Kouture GH, a fashion company located at Spintex, Mrs. Kukua Awortwe, said the portal would help accelerate the growth and success of her business.
“This is a brilliant idea. It has been long in coming. I’m happy about it and I hope businesses in the capital city would embrace it and make it a success,” she said.
Archust Odei, a website developer plying his trade in Accra, said he had trouble reaching clients in his immediate locality to patronize his services, adding that this initiative would go a long way to address the problem.
