2022 World Cup playoff: Emmanuel Agyeman-Badu delighted with Baba Yara Sports Stadium hosting Ghana-Nigeria clash

Former Ghana international Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu is happy the Black Stars will be hosting their West African rivals Nigeria at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in the World Cup playoff.
The former Udinese midfielder reacted to Ghana’s World Cup playoff first leg moved to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium after the Cape Coast Sports Stadium was rejected by CAF and FIFA.
According to the 31-year-old, the Baba Yara Sports Stadium is a favorite home of the senior national team and he is confident the atmosphere at the stadium can help the team to beat Super Eagles in the World Cup playoff.
“Playing matches in Kumasi-(Baba Yara Stadium ) are so special”, he told Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM.
“Personally I love playing there and I hope our guys will be very ready for the game against Nigeria”, added.
Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu was part of the Black Stars team that thrashed Egypt 6-1 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in 2013 in the World Cup playoff.
Ghana host Nigeria in the first leg of the World Cup playoff at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on March 25, 2022 at 6pm.
The reverse fixture will be played four days’ time in Abuja at the Moshood Abiola Sports Stadium.
The two West Africa giants will battle it out for one of the tickets to represent Africa at the World Cup to be staged in Qatar.
