Some entrepreneurs were contacted prior to the launch, and below are excerpts of their views on the portal;
Mercy Afriyie, the CEO of Food Journey, a startup company based in Accra, said the project is the best innovation to have been introduced into the country for creative minds of her kind.
She indicated that most entrepreneurs do not receive the needed publicity to push their products and services unto the market.
According to her, these helpless business folks resort to publicity stunts to be recognized, a development she says is restricting the growth and development of the sector.
“For me, the idea will help draw traffic to our products and services, and even possibly get some investors to push in more cash into our businesses,” she said.
Mercy, who doubles as an IT expert and Journalist, revealed that the initiative by Pen It Multimedia would encourage other persons to start their own ventures, instead of waiting on government or private companies to employ them.
“Sometimes you may not even know how to or what you need or can add to your services or products, but reading or knowing some business ideas from a recognized platform may even make you want to partner with others to help each other,” she revealed.
Paa Kwesi Baiden, another startup owner who runs PKAY Ventures, a clothing entity based in Koforidua, said the company has come at a good time when the entrepreneurship and startup sectors are taking shape.
“I am overjoyed with the introduction of this company. I cannot wait to advertise my business on the company’s platforms. This initiative will help grow our businesses,” he said.
Bismark Asante, the CEO of Obaa Hemaa Stoves, a cooking accessory manufacturing company based in Kasoa, was particularly excited that a media firm had finally been introduced to address the sector’s needs and wants.
He revealed that gaining publicity had been a tough call for his company over the years, and he was optimistic that the sector would boom after the launch of this initiative.
“I will entreat all entrepreneurs and startup businesses to call for the services of Pen It Multimedia because it will help us address the many challenges facing the sector,” he said.
